Philip Owusu

Philip Osei Owusu is a First Class Honors (Summa Cum Laude, Top 3%) Mathematics graduate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with strong interests in numerical analysis, optimization, scientific computing, and machine learning. His academic focus centers on applying mathematical modeling and computational methods to improve decision-making systems in science, engineering, and healthcare.

His undergraduate research developed a tandem queueing model to optimize waiting times in multistage hospital units, using real hospital data to model patient flow and recommend efficiency improvements. He has technical proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib), C/C++, R, LaTeX, and scientific computing tools.

Philip currently serves as a Teaching Assistant in advanced mathematics courses, supporting instruction in Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Mathematical Analysis. He has also contributed to WAEC’s script-checking process, ensuring grading accuracy and assessment integrity. Recognized with multiple academic awards, including Most Influential Student of the Year and several merit bursaries, he combines analytical rigor, leadership, and teaching excellence with a commitment to research-driven impact.
